Color- & Material Concept

Experiencing the architectural principle, the individuality of each building and the hotel complex as a whole, was accomplished by a team of 11 architects who implemented a special color and material concept for the interior design consistently throughout the hotel. The floors were divided into six different sections, so-called color sections. To highlight the ambience in each room, each color section is assigned a matching theme, such as “Peace and Energy”, “Fresh” or “Royal”.

Based on analysis of the façade, the noble, Moroccan-Venetian-style middle south buildings were assigned classic colors like antique rose, dark green and Bordeaux red and heavy velvety material. Light airy linen fabrics and clear colors such as cherry red, gray, yellow or apple green on the other hand, were assigned to old building with the more subdued facades and also to new buildings.

The unifying elements of the individual zones are the uniform typical floor coverings such as sandstone, sandstone-colored porcelain tiles and oak wood. Dark smoked-oak parquetry flooring covers the floors. The green carpets in the corridors are placed like inlays on the oak floor and contrast through their colored borders, sometimes lime green, sometimes burgundy, with the typical house colors. They lead the guest artful through the house. The exact observer will recognize even in the design of room doors fine differences from house to house.
